Manchester Public Libraries holdings removed from SUNCAT

The holdings of Manchester Public Libraries have been temporarily removed from SUNCAT at the Library’s request. This is due to the Central Library being closed for major renovation. The Library is not due to re-open until 2013.

Addition of New Contributing Library

The Wiener Library - Institute of Contemporary History is the latest library to be added to SUNCAT. The Wiener Library is one of the world’s leading and most extensive archives on the Holocaust and Nazi era. Formed in 1933, the Library’s unique collection of over one million items includes published and unpublished works, press cuttings, photographs and eyewitness testimony. The serials collection comprises over 3000 titles from the late 19th century onwards.

SUNCAT is planning to add a total of 10 new Contributing Libraries over the course of 2010. Find out more in the latest SUNCAT Newsletter (April 2010).

This issue also includes information about: Table of Contents links; planned expansion of the SUNCAT MARC downloading service; and the recently conducted SUNCAT Impact and Satisfaction survey.

SUNCAT at UKSG

SUNCAT will be present at this year’s UKSG Conference, to be held in Edinburgh from Monday 12^th to Wednesday 14th April. Members of the SUNCAT team will be attending the seminars and other events throughout the three days. Please feel free to come along and talk to us at the EDINA stand (stand number 80) at the Conference’s exhibition.
